Chinese Navy Opens Official Accounts on Global Social Media Platforms X and YouTube
2025-04-01

On March 31, Beijing time, the Chinese Navy officially launched its global social media accounts "China Navy" (@China_Navy) on platforms X and YouTube. The accounts released an international image film.
The establishment of these accounts aims to create a diversified and multidimensional framework for international communication. Through these platforms, the Chinese Navy will provide global audiences with timely and authoritative information, actively respond to international concerns, and enhance understanding of the Chinese Navy through multimedia formats such as images and videos.
The two-minute film uses the keyword "SHIP" to represent four principles: Security, Harmony, Inclusiveness, and Partner. It showcases the Chinese Navy’s non-war military operations in recent years, including international humanitarian rescue missions, international military cooperation and exchanges, and escort missions in the Gulf of Aden. These narratives highlight the Chinese Navy’s sense of responsibility and commitment.
In recent years, the Chinese Navy has effectively carried out multilateral cooperation, long-range escort missions, friendly visits, and humanitarian rescue operations. Through concrete actions, it has fulfilled international responsibilities, demonstrated an open, confident, powerful, and peaceful international image, and contributed to building a maritime community with a shared future. From escort missions in the Gulf of Aden to international rescues, from overseas medical services to humanitarian evacuations, and from joint maritime exercises to distant-sea training visits, the Chinese Navy’s voyages into the deep blue have become an important window for the world to understand the Chinese military, China’s maritime vision, and the dedication of Chinese naval personnel.
